Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• Responsible for full-cycle general accounting, month-end close activities
• Assure compliance with GAAP and financial reporting practices
• Recording, verifying, reviewing and entering transactions
• Handle key inventory accounting functions across corporate and branch locations
• Heavy focus of KPIs, implementing control procedures and variance analysis
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations including cash, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, rent & inventory
• Participate in external audit procedure
• Lead quarterly physical inventory count across all locations
• Ensure inventory is properly valued per company policy
• Reconcile all warehouses between GP/JDE and Servicemax

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or Great Plains ERP
• Experience working internal and external auditors
